I’m reading David Nelson Bassey’s book, The New Generation of Leadership. It’s a very great book written in unbelievably clear language.
One thing that got me thinking from the first chapter is what he called ‘Two tiny enemies of success.’ These enemies of success sabotage the future of those they hold captive.
1. The ignorance of our own inherent potential.
2. The feeling of incompetence.
“Once you can triumph over these enemies of success and growth, you’ll be well equipped to overcome complacency, manage yourself in order to grow, and ultimately begin to lay the foundation – brick after brick – for the kind of future you desire.”
Yay! You’ll triumph.
