Observe, A stich in time saves nine. If you put one stitch per day, before long you’ll have your cloth sewn and ready for the market.
So there’s been some scientific work I’ve been trying to focus my mind on doing, but haven’t got to doing it. I’ve done everything else but that work. However, I have decided that this 2017 I must develop professionally, and so must do something in that direction. My wife also has gingered me to the extent that I cannot hide under the shadow of activity, nor use my zeal for my passion to cover my need to improve in my profession.
But what did I do?
I decided to take it one step at a time. I have decided that I must, daily, do something significant that will lead me closer to my goal.
I’ve taken the first steps – yesterday I registered at the Library and on the portals of some scientific journals. Today, I picked up a book which has been in my possession for a year now and began reading it; even though it was the last thing I did for the day and only for about 10 minutes, I made sure I flipped through the introduction and preface.
I must make it in life. Laziness and divided interests will not stop me. I must get focused on that one thing which is most important, and finish it!
That’s it. If you take out a few minutes daily, to do that thing which is important for achieving your goal, you’ll soon get into the good habit of doing it daily.
My soul, you shall succeed!
