In 2006, I attended a program organized by Dr. Emanuel Agomuo. The program was tagged “Shopping list.” At the end of the program, we were encouraged to write down what we wanted the Lord to do for us in the year 2006. I remember writing some points which God answered and enabled me be where I am today. So I believe in writing down our shopping list.
The year is still virgin, and we still have opportunity to present our expectations before God. Have you written down yours? Not the one your pastor wrote down for you, but that which you want God to do for you so that your joy will be full.
Proverbs 23:18 assures us that, “The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off.” John 16:24 further encourages us to ask anything we want so that our joy will be full.
Therefore, I encourage you today to populate your list with your heart desire. Write seemingly impossible things that only God can do for you and “the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform it” (Isaiah 9:7b).
Our 2016 is blessed.
