Topic: Indolence Is Costly
Ref. Scripture: Exodus 23:25
God will never encourage indolence. His Blessings are not for the lazy; they are for people who have committed themselves to productive ventures. As a matter of truth, anyone who just sits back doing nothing is not a true son of God. While on earth, Jesus said…”My Father has been working until now and I have been working” John 5:17. So if the Trinity are ever at work, where did you get your own lazy attitude from?
In our reference Scripture, God says if we serve Him, He will bless our bread. In other words, there must be something in your hands that God will bless. If there is nothing in your hands, there is nothing through which God will channel His Blessings to you. The Psalmist says concerning the upright…”Whatsoever he doeth, he shall prosper” Psalm 1:3. Question is, what if he doeth nothing? Simple: he shall not prosper!!
Some people have drenched their certificate with anointing oil, yet they sit at home watching African Magic. And you want to prosper? Oh dear, it doesn’t work that way. What prayer does is to clear the way ahead of you; but if you are not walking, which way is to be cleared? You are the witch destroying yourself and to be delivered, what you need is not 7days dry fast, just go out. That witchcraft is allergic to trekking.
By all means, do something. If you do a thing and it isn’t working, do another!! God needs something in your hands to bless; no matter how little it may seem.
