Early in the week, my PA sent me an email:-
‘Subject: #LAFamily 2014 Goals.
Body: Have we outlined a set of goals for this year?’
This brought me back to reality. Have I outlined the goals? The key word there was ‘outlined.’ It was a wake up call, because even though we were already doing things related with the vision, I hadn’t actually properly outlined nor circulated the LAfamily goals for the year 2014.
If I ask you, have you any goals for 2014, you would certainly answer yes. If I asked you to show me, you may reply they are in your head.
What a fine PA I have. In his book ‘GOALS: how to get everything you want faster than you ever thought possible, Brian Tracy writes that the most important advice he could give is to:-
‘Write down your goals, make plans to achieve them, and work on those plans every single day.’
That’s the ultimate formula you need to succeed in 2014.
I’ve started outlining my goals for 2014: personal goals, career goals and ministry goals.
My advice to you is, don’t wait for someone to ask you. After getting a vision and mapping your vision, the next stage is to outline your goals.
Stay with us as we Do Something! We are exploring setting and achieving goals, one thought per day.
This year is going to be your best!
Assignment: WRITE down all your goals for 2014 today! Not tomorrow. Today!
Remember, ‘Success is goals, all else is complimentary.’
