Something Fresh: I Want To Get Married.

A Nigerian Wedding. Igbo weds Yoruba.

Whoa! Ike Amadi has come again, you would say.

But yea, who doesn’t?

When, however, we consider what marriage entails, we become humble again.

‘Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for her.’

Tough! Can we love our wives to the extent of giving up everything for her? Few can.

I want to be a good husband, hence very interested in the ingredients that will make it possible.

I hear that I have to possess the following:

– Love. Plenty of it. And to be able to love her unconditionally, I must understand the depth of love God has for me.

– Trust. I must trust her.

– Patience. If I cannot be patient with her, as christ is with me, I had better chill.

But yea, I am seriously trying. Trust me, I am.

Boy! How lucky my future wife must be!

I attended a wedding yesterday and I said to myself,

‘when will my own come?’

I seriously want to get married!
