‘Could you please say how you are able to memorize so many words and pour them out with so much dexterity?’
That was the question I posed to one young lady, who presented a beautiful poem titled, ‘The Color Of Love’ at the Abuja Literary Society open mic session.
She was introduced as a poetry slam champion, and definitely is good at what she does.
Her answer held me spell-bound and I’ll quote her response,
‘God blessed me with a powerful mind, and many talents, that’s all.’
‘Halleluyah!’ I replied, ‘Keep using it to bless lives,’
‘I intend to,’ she submitted.
Several of us have been blessed with powerful minds. Very powerful minds.
It is either we do not know we have them because we do not use them; or we think we do not have powerful minds and thus do nothing.
In this poet, I had found someone who is self-assured that she does have a powerful mind and intends to use it to cause positive changes.
I never got to find out exactly what it is she does, but whatever it is, I believe it is a good thing.
So friend, there must be something you are very good at.
Quit thinking you have a weak mind.
Quit thinking that you cannot improve upon that powerful mind of yours as well.
You must understand that you do not do things by chance, but because you have been blessed with a powerful mind.
By thinking this way, you will find yourself doing much better than you thought you could, God helping you.
1) You have a powerful mind.
2) You can and will bless someone with what you do.
Armed with this knowledge, you will come to find that you have additional zest in your daily activities.
So, look at yourself in the mirror today and say, ‘I have a powerful mind.’
I think that this declaration is fresh.
If you understand all that I have shared with you today, then you, my friend, have a powerful mind.
FRET NOT! You have a powerful mind.
