Get Consecrated

I give it all

Perhaps you’re one of those who’d been praying for open doors, you must know that there certain keys that you definitively need to have in your possession for those doors to start opening. One of which is consecration.

James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

We can see from this verse that having a close walk with God is reciprocal. It takes the involvement of both parties. God has already taken the bigger step. He gave up His only begotten Son for your sake even when you cared least. Now He asks that you take a step towards Him. Compared to God’s strides, yours are like “baby steps”. But He demands it. You should make the effort.

If you truly love the Lord and are sincerely grateful for what He’s done for you, how can you prove it? What effort are you making to getting closer to God and growing in Christ?

Apostle Paul understood consecration and he went great lengths to offer himself consecrated to the Lord.

Philippians 3:7-11

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

He submitted to God’s sovereignty and God demonstrated His power greatly through his ministry. You too can experience same.

In time pasts, people(Christians) entered into covenants such as No Bible No Breakfast, No Soul No Sleep, No Tithe No Spending, No Prayer No Service, No Forgiveness No Sleep, No Forgiveness No Offering or if I could add No #la187 No Food etc. Question for you today is: What is your consecration?

Consecration gives direction to your life. I would strongly advise you adopt one or more of some of these covenants with God and make them your daily slogans. You can even come up with your own as your situation might demand. What is important is your desire to draw closer to God and stay dedicated. He will NEVER fail. He has promised and He will come through.

Shalom.
