Seven Simple Truths

ExhaustingThis past week has been one of the most exciting weeks I’ve had in a while. From Monday through through Friday I had been out with other members of my Church doing street evangelism. It was  amazing really to see the power of the Gospel in practical demonstration. It was quite challenging spiritually though. Was subjected to several forms of abuse but I am grateful to God for such a privilege to partake in such a honorable venture. Not to forget…’twas really exhausting !!

Also during the course of the week, kids at our church did have a camp outside of the city so during the worship service on Sunday they did shared some of what they learnt with us and I was immensely blessed by their mini-presentation. They presented the gospel under seven points. They called it “семь истин” (Seven truths).

This I promptly jotted and pretty sure would come in handy very soon. Here they are…maybe it could bless you just as it was a blessing to me.

7 simple truths

Point 1: God is holy

There is none holy as the Lord:  For there is none beside thee:  Neither is there any rock like our God.         1 Samuel 2:2

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory. Isaiah 6:3

It is absolutely important to understand this nature of God. Unlike like man, God is impeccably perfect!!

Point 2: Man is horribly and terribly sinful

Compared to God’s standard, man is just way too sinful. The Law highlights God’s expectations from man and it is not difficult to see how far man has “fallen short”.

Point 3: Man is doomed !!

As a consequence of God’s nature of Holiness and perfection, it is obvious He(God) has to be just too. This clearly spells doom for all mankind. Man sinful nature means every person is in danger of facing God’s righteous judgment soon.

Point 4: Works avail nothing.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8,9

This must be the final straw that gets broken. Coming to realize that there isn’t anything man can do to help himself is just devastating. This is what the Bible says and it is final. Now, this leaves man with Christ-and Christ alone-as savior. No other way to life except through Him.

Point 5: God loves us !!

This is simply breath-taking. Despite my condition, God did not stop loving me. How amazing !! This means there is hope for man’s survival. But, how did God do this?

Point 6: Jesus died

This act of God paved the way for reconciliation between God and man. Christ bore our sins. He paid the price…Hallelujah !!

Point 7: Believe in Him and you will be saved

What God requires of us is to put our trust in the precious, complete and perfect work of Jesus. We must trust Jesus alone to save us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wishing ya’ll a lovely week. As always, stay #FRESH !!
