3 tips for discovering purpose by Bishop T.D. Jakes

Are you at a crossroads? Take time out and know yourself.

I listened to a sermon by TD Jakes and I thought these points might be most useful to anyone out there interested in fulfilling destiny. They blessed me so much I decided to share.

We need to answer these questions:

1. What is my core?
2. What has God called me to do?
3. What is my purpose?

We need to Go back to God to ask directions. Keep going back.
If you have guidance you can make it through anything.

You may be living a long time but you are not effective if you are not functioning in your purpose.

You become effective when you are functioning in your purpose.

Effective – Having an effect on your world.

You can’t relate with other people if you have not related with yourself. Who are you at your core?

Spend time to discover your purpose.

3 Tips for discovering purpose.

1. What are you concerned about?
Anything that concerns you, you can change. You can’t change what you are unconcerned about.

2. What irritates you? You are the somebody you’ve been waiting on to fix that situation.
You cannot change what you are not concerned about. Messy people can’t clean the house.

Stop driving around in circles and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Go back to you core. When in doubt, go back to your core.
You want to revive something, go back to the core. In your core is the seed of what made it work in the first place.
What did you first see in me?
What did you first like about me?
The power is in the core.

Your frustration is that you have too much in you to rot away like you are rotting away. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

3. What are you inclined to do?
Your inclination is your seed. Don’t throw it away because it is small. There is an apple tree somewhere in your seed. There is a bigger woman, a bigger man, bountiful blessings, if you can get all of that out of your seed.

No wonder you are hard to get along with. You are bound up on the inside. Find your seed and release what you have on the inside of you.

When you are happy with yourself, you no longer become intimidated by other people.

May God help you discover your purpose in Jesus name.
