                                    Bishop David Oyedepo

“Eyes that look are many, but eyes that see are few.”

Every time God wants to change the life of a man, He presents him with an opportunity; life is an adventure in opportunities.

  • Psalm 45:6-8
  • Mark 10:46-52

We are prophetically in the Church age; era of the reigning church.

  • Isaiah 2:1-3

The Church is not a building, it is a people.
“The Word you believe comes to pass in your life and the Word you receive empowers you to become.”

  • Luke 1:45
  • John 1:12
  • Micah 4:1-2

Tracing your root of stardom to wisdom; every child of God is endowed with divine wisdom.

  • Rev. 22:16
  • Hebrews 2:11
  • John 17:18
  • Daniel 12:3
  • Mattew 11:19

Wisdom is described according to Mattew 7:24-25.
It is Word practice that makes wise.

  • Deuteronomy 28:1-3; 13

“To get to the top, you need an addiction to Word practice.”

  • Proverbs 22:29

Where you find yourself tomorrow is by the quality of engagement in your purpose.

            Virtue for Stardom: Discipline

It is operating as demanded, not as convenient.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:12

“A disciplined person goes for what adds value; very choosy.”

  • 1 Corinthians 10:23; 9:26

Instruction: Do not make your body define the events of your life.
What Discipline Connotes:

1. It connotes Self-control

  • Daniel 1:9-12
  • Nehemiah 4:23

“People that accomplish great strides are men of proven self-control.”
Nehemiah 5:14-15

2. It connotes Orderliness: Setting priorities to your day.

  • Psalm 119:164

“People fail because they are disorderly; when order is restored to your life, you increase.”

  • 1 Corinthians 14:40
  • Acts 14:4-5

3. It connotes Timeliness.

  • Daniel 6:10

4. It connotes focus.
“Your calling remains current throughout your lifetime.”

  • 1 Kings 20:39-40

“Hard work does not wear people out, it is wrong work that does.”

  • Mattew 6:22

Discipline can be a costly choice, but definitely a most profitable one.
“There are two types of pain: the pain of discipline and the pain of regret.”
Obedience may be costly, but the end result is priceless.
Self-discipline is self-inflicted pains for your anticipated gain.

  • 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
  • 2 Timothy 2: 3-5

Only the disciplined can be enthroned in the kingdom.
“How disciplined one is today, ultimately determines how distinguished they are tomorrow.”

  • Ecclesiastes 10:7-9;16

Instruction: The serpent bites when there is the lack of: discipline, direction, diligence and wisdom.
