Bible Ref: Exodus 2,3,4.
#1. Moses tried to use his natural strength to accomplish a divine agenda. He failed. LESSON: You can’t do the work of the Spirit in the energy of the flesh. Exodus 2:11-15
#2. Moses was distressed and in pain, yet he despised his own pains and helped Jethro’s daughters. That singular act created a new phase for him. LESSON: Acts of kindness in seasons of pain unlock the way out of that season. Exodus 2-16-22
#3 Moses had an encounter with destiny while he was serving Jethro. LESSON: Direction locates those who are in motion. God will not commit His assignmemts into the hands of the lazy. Exodus 3:1-3
#4. God organized the burning bush to arrest Moses’ attention, and Moses responded, not by staying afar off applauding the scene, he turned aside to take a closer gaze. LESSON: The reason God performs supernatural acts isn’t just so that we’ll clap our hands and give Him a shout, His intent is to stir a desire…a longing…for more of Him. That as we draw closer to Him, we may see more of His supernatural acts. Exodus 3:2-4
#5. When God sent Moses, He gave him two gifts: His Presence and an empowered rod. With these two, nothing could stand successfully against Moses. LESSON: The Believer has the ever-abiding presence of God and the ever-working Word of God. If you will learn to effectively engage these two weapons, nothing will be able to successfully stand against you. Exodus 3:12, 4:17
#6. It wasn’t Moses’ responsibility to create the signs; his task was to DO the signs that God had put in his hands. LESSON: How God will do what He has promised isn’t yours to figure out. You are to believe and take steps as He commands…and see Him prove Himself. Exodus 4:21
