I have been searching for an easy job. You know, the one that doesn’t require much physical or emotional work.
Instead, I found something else. I discovered that actually no job is easy. All require work, hard work. From the banker, to the businessman, to the artist. All need one form of energy or the other be it mental, physical, or emotional.
Recently, I watched a masonry (pictured above) as he cut through tiles with concentrated effort. His focus was nothing less than that of the artist facing his canvas or the businessman vying for a contract.
So yes, no job is easy, but I can always make it easier – by employing the right attitude. There will perhaps always be a moment in our daily commerce where we look across and wonder if ‘the grass is greener on the other side’ if only we left. But keep persevering; remember the bigger vision. Do it with a smile, knowing that even if it is not your best job, it is taking you one step closer to your dream job.
Do something! Keep doing, until you reach your dream job!
